Dark red color, with ripe plums and mocha on the nose. Dark fruit followed by spice on the palate. A well balanced wine with smooth integrated tannins.
Elegance, finesse and fruit driven. The dark colour, soft tannins and fine complexity is a true reflection from our granite soils. A lively mid palate is rounded off by a lingering presence of ripe tannins.
The grapes were handpicked with great care and destalked only. A 48 hour cold maceration period was given prior to fermentation to extract colour and fruit. Skins were gently pressed after fermentation. Malolactic fermentation (MLF) took place in barrels. Once MLF was done, the wine spent a further 10 months French oak barrels.
A perfect match for Lamb, goulash and grilled red meat.
